No. Feit Electric smart accent lighting connects directly to a home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and is controlled through the free Feit Electric app, so no separate hub or bridge is required.
What types of smart accent lighting does Feit Electric offer?
Feit Electric offers LED strip and tape lights (5 to 100 ft), bendable neon flex for signs and shapes, smart string lights for patios and bedrooms, permanent outdoor lights for rooflines, and color-changing path and undercabinet lights — all app-controllable for color, brightness, and schedules.
Can smart accent lights be used outdoors?
Only products rated for outdoor use should be installed outside. Feit Electric offers weatherproof outdoor neon flex, permanent outdoor lights, outdoor path lights, and outdoor-rated string lights built for rain and temperature changes. Indoor-only products like USB strips should stay inside.
How long does it take to set up smart accent lighting?
Most smart accent lights are running in under 15 minutes. Pairing a Feit Electric device in the app typically takes about 2 minutes; the rest is downloading the app, connecting to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and mounting the light.

What is color chasing on smart strip lights?
Color chasing is an effect where multiple colors appear and move along the strip at the same time instead of the whole strip showing one solid color. Many Feit Electric strip and neon flex products support color chasing along with tunable white.
