What is the difference between ST19 and ST21 smart Edison bulbs?
The difference is primarily the size and silhouette. ST19 is the standard teardrop shape (approx. 2.3 inches wide), while ST21 is a slightly larger, more elongated version (approx. 2.6 inches wide). Both utilize the same standard E26 base and offer the same smart features.
Will smart Edison bulbs fit in my standard light fixtures?
Yes. Feit Electric smart Edison bulbs are designed with a standard E26 medium screw base. They are direct, screw-in replacements for traditional incandescent bulbs in most pendant lights, chandeliers, and wall sconces—no adapters required.
Do Feit Electric smart Edison bulbs require a hub or bridge?
No. These bulbs connect directly to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. No additional hub, bridge, or smart home controller is needed for app control, remote access, or voice integration with Alexa and Google Home.
Do these vintage-style bulbs offer color-changing (RGB) options?
Yes. While we offer Tunable White models that shift from warm amber to cool daylight, we also provide RGBW smart Edison bulbs. These allow you to choose from millions of colors while maintaining the iconic teardrop shape.
Can I use smart Edison bulbs with a traditional wall dimmer switch?
No. Smart bulbs require a constant power source to maintain their Wi-Fi connection. To prevent flickering or hardware damage, use a standard on/off switch and control all dimming digitally through the Feit Electric app or via voice commands.
