Color Selectable LED Recessed Downlights

FAQ

Recessed Downlights FAQs

What does color selectable mean on a recessed downlight?
Color selectable means the fixture can output multiple color temperatures. A small switch on the junction box lets you choose 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K before installation. Once set, the color temperature stays fixed until you manually change it.
How does color selectable work?
A color selectable downlight has a small switch on the fixture that lets you choose the color temperature before installation — 2700K (warm white), 3000K (soft white), 3500K (neutral), 4000K (cool white), or 5000K (daylight). You set it once during install and it stays. One fixture covers every room in your home.
Can I change the color temperature after the fixture is already installed?
Yes, but you will need to access the switch on the back of the fixture, which requires removing it from the ceiling. For that reason, it's best to set the color temperature before installation. If you want to adjust color temperature after install without accessing the fixture, Feit Electric smart recessed downlights support color temperature adjustment through the app.
