LED Light Bulb FAQs

What LED bulb replaces a 60-watt incandescent?
An 8–10 watt LED producing 800 lumens is the direct replacement for a 60-watt incandescent — using up to 85% less energy.
What is the difference between soft white, briight white, and daylight LED bulbs?
Soft white (2700K) suits bedrooms and living rooms. bright white (3000K) works well in kitchens and bathrooms. Daylight (5000K) is best for task areas and garages. Lower Kelvin = warmer light.
How long do LED light bulbs last?
LED light bulbs can last up to 25,000 hours — roughly 15–22 years at 3 hours of daily use. That's up to 25x longer than traditional incandescent bulbs.
Do LED light bulbs work with dimmer switches?
Only dimmable-labeled LED bulbs work with dimmers. Use an LED-compatible dimmer switch — standard incandescent dimmers can cause flickering. Feit Electric offers a full line of dimmable LED bulbs.
How much energy do LED bulbs save compared to incandescent?
LED bulbs use 75–85% less energy than incandescent. Replacing one 60W bulb with a 9W LED can save roughly $7–$10 per year based on average U.S. electricity rates. Switching a full home of 30 bulbs can save over $200 annually.
What is the difference between smart LED bulbs and standard LED bulbs?
Standard LEDs require a wall switch. Smart LEDs connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for app and voice control, dimming, color tuning, and scheduling. Feit Electric smart bulbs work with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit.
