Overview: 

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic EDI Solution Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who thrives at the intersection of business operations and technology, leveraging EDI to optimize supply chain and order-to-cash processes. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, excels in managing critical trading partner relationships, and is passionate about driving operational excellence through electronic data interchange (EDI) technologies.

 

What You'll do:

Strategic EDI Leadership

  • Act as the subject matter expert and lead for all EDI initiatives across the organization.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable EDI solutions.
  • Define and execute the EDI roadmap in collaboration with business units, IT, and third-party providers.

Partner & Project Management

  • Manage end-to-end relationships with complex, high-volume trading partners, ensuring SLA compliance and mutual success.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups including operations, IT, customer service, and compliance to deliver EDI-related projects.
  • Drive onboarding and certification of new trading partners and document standards.

Technical Solution Design & Execution

  • Design, test, implement, and maintain EDI mappings and integrations across various standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML).
  • Provide hands-on mapping using tools in platforms such as IBM Sterling, SPS Commerce, Microsoft BizTalk, Bizlink, or similar solutions.
  • Develop and troubleshoot EDI workflows, error handling, and transaction traceability.
  • Maintain transaction support for both common (850, 810, 856, 855, 860, 864, 997) and less common types (812, 820, 753, 832, 852, 945).

Data & Systems Integration

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and system integration.
  • Use Python, .NET, or equivalent languages to support EDI transformation scripts, logging routines, and system integrations.

Governance & Documentation

  • Ensure full documentation of mappings, partner configurations, and system processes.
  • Champion internal standards and data governance practices to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.

 

What You'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in EDI solutions design, implementation, and support.
  • Proven track record managing enterprise trading partners and delivering EDI automation at large, multi-national manufacturers.
  • Deep understanding of X12 EDI standards, transaction sets, partner specifications and communications.
  • Hands-on experience with EDI mapping and translation tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience manipulating complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or .NET.
  • Experience with multiple platforms (e.g., Sterling, SPS Commerce, BizTalk, Bizlink).
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across levels.
  • Process Thinking: Able to see both the big picture and small details with high accuracy.
  • Change Agent: Proven ability to champion and execute process improvements.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Comfortable leading meetings, resolving conflicts, and aligning diverse teams.

  • Salary Range: Exempt / Salary with a range of $150,000.00 to $175,000.00 annually.
