Job description:

You will manage all aspects of our on-premises VMWare and Windows Server environment – from new system installation, patching and upgrades, and security and performance management. 

This position requires proven experience implementing and operating VMWare systems using Intel servers and mid-tier SANs to host high workload Windows Server systems. 

This role is full-time on-site M-F in Pico Rivera (Los Angeles), CA.

 

Specific job duties:

  • You should have hands-on experience installing, patching, upgrading, and monitoring recent versions of VMWare. Experience with clustering and P2V is a strong plus.
  • For Windows Server management you will have experience installing, hardening, patching, and upgrading Windows Serve 2016 and newer. We have complex application, SQL Server, and infrastructure requirements so you must be comfortable supporting a variety of production workloads. In addition to OS management, you need solid experience managing Active Directory, using Group Policies, and synchronizing with on-premises AD with Azure AD.
  • Experience using tools like Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, PowerShell, Ansible, or similar to automate and standardize configuration is a strong plus.
  • As our system Administrator you’ll manage our backup and recovery and business continuity solutions. You’ll plan and monitor routine backups, demonstrate successful recovery from cloud repositories as well as bare-metal recovery on-premises.
  • Knowledge of network equipment and firewall management is a strong plus, but not required. You’ll work with our Help Desk, ERP and WMS leads to ensure all our systems are performing well and operating securely. Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later is a strong plus.

    Demonstrated knowledge required:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years performing VMWare and Windows Server management.
    • Strong Active Directory and Group Policy management experience.
    • Experience with Microsoft 365, especially Azure AD.
    • Good oral, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Hands-On, willing to perform simple to complex tasks.
    • Working knowledge of network infrastructure – switches, VLANs, firewalls.
    • VMWare and Microsoft certification are a strong plus.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL a plus.
    • Experience in ERP systems and WMS a plus.

        What you will get:

        Pay Range for the position is $110,000.00 to 130,000.00 (Exempt/Salary)

         

        Additional Data: 

        Position is onsite Monday through Friday in our Pico Rivera, CA office. Position does not offer relocation package. No remote work available for this position.
